William Johnson, younger brother of Australian novelist Mary Theresa Vidal (Mrs Francis Vidal), married Rosa Caroline Guille. Johnson was in college at Eton, 1832-1842; a scholar of King's College, Cambridge, 1842-1845; and then an Eton master from 1845 to Easter 1872.
